Well it's not dead...glyph of swiftness makes it perma for e/a...but it slows down the killin' a bit. Or you could go a/e and not care at all.

Less SC = less ectos = higher prices

This is a buff for me, I have nearly 3 stacks of ectos that I have almost no use for anymore, great way to keep money indefinitely for any new characters I may make.

I find it hilarious that we get threads proclaiming consumables to be one of the reasons that GW has died, and now that one of them has been nerfed from 25% to 20% bonus...GW has died. Again. WTF is wrong with you people...
Agreed. GW = Great Game. Guru = Terrible forum community

When I saw the Shadow Form buff and heard it's possible to perma it. I cried.

When I saw the Ursan Nerf. I sang.

When I saw the Essence Nerf. I laughed.

When I saw the Titles Update plans. I prayed to the god I once forgot in hopes that it will be good.

When I shall see the Shadow Form nerf, the "Save Yourselves!" Nerf, and the "There's Nothing To Fear!" Nerf in one update. I shall be so glad I shall dance naked in the streets.

Yeeech - that in itself would be a pretty good argument AGAINST nerfing them!

Actually, now that I think of it, the fact they changed essence is a pretty good clue they will NOT be nerfing shadow form. If the concern was the ability to maintain shadow form permanently, they would have just changed SF itself and not bothered with EoC. Given the way they have handled SF in the last few months, it is obvious that it is ANet's intention to keep perma SF but to force the player to give up 3 skill slots to do so.

whether that is good or bad I don't know.

On the one hand, it doesn't really hurt the game. Let's face it, there is no such thing as "game breaking" in PvE anymore since it is essentially and irrevocably a single player game now. That horse left the barn with Nightfall and it ain't coming back. so if I can do a few extra things solo and get a few ectos with my sf/sin once in a while, great.

On the other hand, it wouldn't break my heart if they nerfed it either. In many places sf does make the game too easy. And in those places which have counters for sf, trying to use it is a complete disaster. There isn't much middle ground with SF and I doubt that was what was originally intended for the game.

But the fact remains, removing perma sf really wouldn't do a darned thing to make the game either better or worse and the change to EoC probably indicates SF is here to stay anyway.

Orrrrr.....

Maybe Ascalon had a bumper crop of pumkins this year and they really want to help out the poor pumpkin farmers by jacking up the price of pie when it starts dropping in aabout 3 weeks

they probably won't nerf SY or TNtF because while using it, though the game becomes easier, it doesn't "break" the game. perma SF, however, does. negating 90% of damage sources all the time is kind of unbalanced, moreso than 80% damage reduction. unless they plan to change up the skills in elite areas (PBAoE).

Now you know what I like to see, all the players especially those elitists who keep saying their skills is everything, who QQ that consumables + ursan + pve skills are game breaking, I like to see them go back to play Guild Wars and watch if the players base will rise again or if pugging has become better.

Its is after all "them"* who says those are game breaking. In my humble opinion, they were only QQ-ing, and has no intention what so ever to play the game at all.

*sits on the fence and watch the fiesta*

The point is why does PVE even matter to Anet or the economy for that matter? Basically a few whiners hate something because they fell like their game is impacted. Not one person i have seen calling for a nerf has partied with me in ANY instance. I am not making your game harder, easier or less fun. My skillbar is MY skillbar you don't have to play it. I hear 1 guy hoping his 3 stacks of ectos go up. Fat chance everyone has 3 ectos and that is why they are priced accordingly. Ectos and shards are only good for armor and as such they will keep dropping in price as people have their armors made. GW IS dying do to lack of interest, not because of nerfing or lack thereof. Leave my frikkin PVE game alone ANet. Get in the frikkin kitchen and make GW2 like you are supposed to be doing before you lose all of us to bioware.

Hopefully SY and SF will get nerfed, don't care for TNTF, but I all three won't happen in the same update.

The description is fine, until you activate it.

Im curious... does this mean that now you basically have to use a candy corn to go along on the speed clear, or do u need like 15 shadow to maintain it?
